I found the course extreamly helpfull and learnt alot regarding perfect coffee making skills and an understanding of how to run a sucessfull coffee shop. What a super day ! Stuart gave me a one on one full day of Barista and Latte Art instruction. He made the day both practical and informative with his extensive knowledge of all things Arabica ( and Robusta ! ) He is a very personable young man and a credit to Limini Coffee. As with the other reviews here, I thoroughly enjoyed the Fairy Liquid frothing session as a precursor to the main event. THe bean roasting was awesome....... Just completed the two day "How to set up a Coffee Shop" course. I found this very enjoyable and informative. It had the perfect balance between developing coffee making skills and the business side of things over the two days. On day 1 Stu very patiently showed us how to make the various types of coffees, how to warm the milk to the correct temperature, how to use the equipment, and how to make beautiful tasting and presented coffee. Day 2 concentrated on all things associated with finding the right location, negotiating lease terms & conditions, shop layout, recruitment etc etc. I found the experience fun, enlightening and helpful in my plans to open a coffee shop. We recently decided to open a cycling themed coffee shop but having never had any experience of this sort of thing we began the research and came across Limini Coffee. And what a Godsend they have been!!! We immediately signed up for the 2 day "How to set up a Coffee Shop" course. On arrival at their studio in Bradford we were greeted by Youri and Stuart who made us feel more than welcome and the coffees flowed from there! The course gives you an amazing insight into all things coffee shop related. We learned how to heat the milk correctly using fairy liquid(!), learned how to make a great coffee, learned how to make a rubbish coffee but, most importantly, learned some really valuable business lessons as well. I cannot recommend this course highly enough if you are considering venturing into the coffee shop/cafe business. In the two days we spent with Youri and Stuart we picked up some wonderful hints and tips and we are really excited to work with them as we move into our premises in the next month or so. Youri has a wonderful sense of humour and has a great way about him - you really want to learn from him. Stuart undertook day two and is an absolute credit to Limini Coffee. What a great day we had with Stu. The atmosphere was so relaxing and informative. Attention to detail is what I liked about it. Practice,practice,practice is what it is all about however Stu gave us the "grounding" required to move on to that. The 1 day suited us as it was specifically tailored to our "venture". Many thanks. Ooh my, what an amazing day! We roasted, we ground, we tampered, we extracted, we steamed, we were educated in coffee history production, ethics, and business but best of all we learnt how to form a coffee love heart on the top of a latte. Thank you to Youri and the team at Limini for helping me bring my dream of running my own business closer to reality. I would recommend the how to start a coffee shop to anyone thinking about branching out on their own. The course had a perfect mix of fun, education and practical sessions which were geared specifically to my requirements and I left feeling motivated, confident and that I had the skills needed to go for it. Great 4 hour course, Stuart explained everything and made it easy to follow, I was on the course for my at home coffee making, I new some basic but how to steam milk tecture etc. was great. On my course was newstart up cafe the owner 2 of his staff and i could see the wealth experience thery waere getting, setting them off to a great start. Limini is a great company to deal with full stop. thanks Stu.
